Monday June 23rd we camped at South Llano River State Park in Texas. As we first entered the park on the side of the road was a field in which we thought we saw a bunny with really long ears. I thought it was so cute (like one of those chocolate Easter bunnies with the over sized ears. When I got closer to take a picture it stood up on legs a foot long at least. It was a jackrabbit. When I followed the jackrabbit I ran into a doe just eating a little grass. As I turned to go back to the car I saw an armadillo. I decided to get a little closer. There is something about armadillos that I think like – I think it is probably the armor. I startled the little guy and they are quicker than you would think. I chased it for a minute, which was kind of fun for me, but I figured I should leave the poor guy alone because he had no way of knowing I meant him no harm. So sadly I did not get a good picture of the armadillo. We camped at the walk in sites and played a little guitar before we slept.
